The Western Carolina Communication Department held their annual picnic on advising day.
Donald Connelly, Head of the Communication Department, announced that the department was shy two people
before they reached 200 students as declared communication majors.
Connelly also commended the students on having an overall GPA of 3.2 for the Spring 2011 semester.
“I think advising day is important because we receive important information for the upcoming semester,” said Alisha
Lambert, Public Relations/Journalism major.
After a short speech from each communication professor, the students were served burgers, hot dogs and an assortment of
deserts.
