The Western Carolina Campus Dining Services have made several changes for this fall.
The Courtyard Dining Hall has added a vegan station and has also decided to lengthen the hours of operation until 9 p.m. during the week. On Thursday through Saturday the dining hall will be open from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. In addition to the changes in operational hours, the Courtyard Dining Hall has also lowered the cost of meals on Fridays to $5 a person.
“I was pretty pumped to hear that the dining hall was going to be open until 2 a.m. on the weekends,” said Andy Jensen, junior at WCU. “Everybody knows college kids get those late night food cravings. And now we don’t have to drive anywhere to get food.”
Freshens is also undergoing renovations. Crepes, salads and all natural fruit drinks will be offered after the conclusion of the renovations.
“I’m pretty excited about these crepes,” said Ryan Grace, a senior at WCU. “If these crepes are anything like my mom’s, I think everybody’s going to love them.”
One of Freshen’s employees, Sarah Masterson, said that the changes to to the venue were ,”sparked by many student suggestions and a desire to expand the previous menu”.
Freshens will reopen on September 10th.
