The holiday season kicked off with the WCU Dancer’s participation in this year’s Asheville Holiday Parade. The parade took the dancers through downtown and Pack Square on Nov. 17.
Children of all ages, friends, families and even dogs turned out for the show.
“I thought it was awesome,” said 5 year old Jennifer after she saw the dancers with her mother.
Community members lined the sidewalks and local businesses with some areas packed too tightly to walk through. The crowd clapped and cheered as the Dancers performed their kick lines and routines, even once they lost the use of their truck, and therefore music, due to technical problems.
