WCU is throwing their own birthday party on Tuesday, August 26, and everyone’s invited!
The party starts at 4 p.m. and will include a picnic on the A.K. Hinds University Center Lawn which will have barbecue, veggie burgers, hamburgers, hot dogs and some traditional fair foods like funnel cakes. Since it’s a birthday bash, the outing wouldn’t be complete without some birthday cake and a visit from Chancellor David O. Belcher.
There will be music by the Dirty Guv’nahs, a variety of games with the opportunity to win door prizes, photo opportunities with vintage props from WCU’s culture and history, and guided walking tours of historical places on WCU’s campus and university landmarks. A map of the tour can be found here. The event is scheduled to end at 7 p.m.
