Local veterans will host their first round table discussion on Veteran’s Day at 7 p.m. featuring members from the Vet to Vet program. The program aids local veterans of all ages and genders to talk about traumatic experiences they may have encountered while in combat.
Founders Darwin Thomas and Tom Baker started the program together when they realized that they didn’t have the opportunity to positively express themselves with their symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. The discussion will feature a series of events each veteran has gone through and a chance for questions at the end.
The event will take place at 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 11 in the University Center theater. For more information, or to send questions that you would like to be answered during the discussion to Tom Baker at 828-508-5222 or trbaker817@yahoo.com
