A photo story on abandoned houses by Hunter Bryn and Nicole Roman.
We went through Jackson County and explored the back roads and hills in search for houses that have been left behind. The photo story includes half destroyed houses and structures that have been reclaimed by nature. We talked to Jackson Co. Mapping office and the Deeds of Records in Sylva City Hall in search for statistics on the amount of abandoned houses there are. There is no record.
