Western Carolina University released their football schedule for the 2016 season Jan. 26.
University of South Carolina and East Carolina University are just two of the 11 teams on this list of opponents. The Cats will open their season with a huge match up against the Pirates of ECU on Sep. 3.

They will travel to Williams- Brice Stadium (Home of the South Carolina Gamecocks) on Nov. 19 to wrap up the end of the regular season.
Western will also play Southern Conference regulars like East Tennessee State University, Citadel, Furman and etc.
This already looks like a promising season with some great games in the future.
