The Western Carolina University Men’s Basketball Team made it to the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament before losing to the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
Seniors Mike Brown, Torrion Brummitt, Rhett Harrelson and Justin Browning did not end their careers before beating the Wofford Terriers on Saturday, March 5. Wofford has been the team to beat Western in the SoCon tournament for the past four of five years. Wofford was also the reigning champion of the SoCon tournament.
Chattanooga went on to win the SoCon basketball tournament against East Tennessee State University on March 7. The final score was 73-67.
