WCU’s Fine Art Museum will be hosting its annual Handmade Holiday Sale from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17,  at the Bardo Arts Center.

Created and organized by museum attendant and artist Dawn Behling, the event is both a fundraiser for the museum and a chance for local artists to get their name and work out.

About 15 WCU students, faculty and alumni will set up tables and shelves from the museum entrance down to the box office and sell ornaments, pottery, books, hats, scarves, bath products, baked goods, teas and more.

According to Behling, “It’s a little bit of everything.”

There will be a reception from 5 to 7 p.m., and live music will be performed by jazz guitar instructor Steve Wohlrab, student and keyboard player Ashley Chambliss and acoustic guitarist Jim Craig. Throughout the day, there will be free snacks, appetizers and coffee.

The event is open to the public and admission and parking are free. All purchases should be made by cash or check.
