WCU UP program celebrates 10 years existance

Western Carolina University is dedicating to making the school a better place for all students. One program in particular is helping those usually left behind to become rising stars in their community.

The University Participant Program is an organization pledging to help students with intellectual disabilities go through college and receive an education.

On April 7, the program hosted a gala celebrating 10 years of existence. The event was a chance for the members to dress up and party the night away and hear stories from former members to see where they have gone since their time at WCU.
