Save a life and adopt a pet

When searching for their lifetime companion, many people go straight to the nearest pet store. However, the animals in local shelters are cheaper, healthier, and just as loving as the one behind the glass in the pet store. Adopting an animal from the Jackson County Animal Shelter, means you will be receiving a loving pet who has already gotten all of the shots and vaccinations they require, while also receiving a full check up to ensure their health. The animals the shelter retrieves have either been previously neglected or given up, which is why the pets will appreciate the people who choose to adopt them into a loving home.

Although the Jackson County Animal Shelter is a euthanasia shelter, they prefer to send their animals to other shelters because they might have better luck finding their forever home somewhere else. The only time a pet is euthanized is when the animal is un-adoptable, which means it is either severely hurt and unhealthy, or it is a danger to other animals and people. This shelter proudly states that they have not had to euthanize an animal in two years.

This shelter truly falls in love with each animal they take in, and they always make sure to take quality pictures for their Facebook page to showcase the animals to potential adopters.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter greatly appreciates donations and volunteers.
