You are invited again to think about your aspirations. A lot of individuals in the Western Carolina community have thoughts of achieving big things. Weather it is an aspiring artist performing in different events on campus, or an athlete having dreams of going pro one day, a lot of people on this campus dream big.
Now think about celebrities who have gone for millions in their career (streams on music, multi-million-dollar sports contract, millions of viewers). Even those who are successful in their fields started from somewhere.
On his first official music release, “White Iverson”, Post Malone racked up millions of streams. Today, Malone has recorded seven songs that have reached the top-100 charts on Billboard, as well three singles reaching #1 on the charts.
Before he became the sensation he is today, Malone was homeless after dropping out of college to pursue music full-time.
Listen to episode 2 of this podcast series as Jonah Weston discusses Malone’s come up, and part 2 of his personal story of an aspiring hip-hop artist.
