Western Carolina’s Track and Field team is gearing up for the Conference Championship meet in Lexington, Virginia.

The competition is Feb. 27 and 28 at the Virginia Military Institute Corps Physical Training Facility.
Ten universities in the Southern Conference will send their best athletes to battle for the trophy in the most important meet of the season. They will compete in 34 events, including sprints, distance, jumps, hurdles, and throws, between both men and women.
Head coach Jesse Norman highlighted sophomore cross country runner Bradley White’s winning performances this season, sharing that he is excited to translate their momentum into bringing a championship title home.
Norman is confident in the team’s abilities.
“It’s the same as every meet, just get in there and be competitive,” he added.
Make sure to wish these Catamounts luck.
