The winners of Jackson County’s 2026 “I Voted” sticker contest were recognized Tuesday, Sept. 1, during the Jackson County Board of Elections meeting.

Naomi Pratt, 7, took first place with a design featuring an eagle and red, white and blue lettering that reads “I VOTED.”
“I chose the eagle because there is an eagle at East Laporte,” Pratt said in a news release. “My favorite spot to watch him is next to the river. My brother and I named him Talon. He lives in a pine tree. Eagles are my favorite bird!”
Pratt is a third grader at Summit Charter School. She attended the meeting with her mother, Celeste, and older brother, Jesse, to receive her certificate and prizes.
Lincoln Brooks, 8, a third grader at Fairview Elementary School, placed second.
Miller Solsbee, 8, a third grader at Iotla Valley Elementary School, placed third.
This was the second time the Jackson County Board of Elections has held the sticker contest, but the first time it has been opened to young artists from kindergarten through eighth grade throughout the county.
Allen said the board received about 40 submissions, then the board chose a top 10 to put for public voting. Nearly 300 people cast votes to determine the winning design.
The Board of Elections Director Amanda Allen said the response showed strong community interest in the contest.
“I’m really glad to see so many people invested in our ‘I Voted’ stickers,” Allen said. “I hope that means each and every one of you will come out to vote this fall to receive your own sticker at the polls!”
Naomi’s winning design will be available at Jackson County polling sites during the 2026 general election.
“We are so glad they were here to join us and our top design will be utilized in all of our polling sites, first come first serve, for the election,” Allen said. “So make sure that you pick up one of those stickers. They are super cute and wonderful!”
The three winners received certificates and gift cards to local businesses.
Pratt received gift certificates to Baxley’s Chocolates, City Lights Bookstore, Carly & Cass DIY Studio and Sweet Tea Boba Shop.
Brooks received gift certificates to Carly & Cass DIY Studio and Sweet Tea Boba Shop, while Solsbee received gift certificates to City Lights Bookstore and Baxley’s Chocolates.
“Our local kids are so creative and talented,” said Allen. “I want to give great thanks to all of them for sharing their artistic talents and enthusiasm for voting.”
