Western Carolina University students, staff and members of the community joined together September 10, 2011 for the 3rd annual Old Cullowhee Canoe Slalom. This year featured the events largest crowd ever, sunny skies and happy participants of all ages.

Western Carolina University is known for its location surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. On Sunday, August 28, several students explored the area by raft as they went down the Nantahala River with Western’s Base Camp Cullowhee outdoors program.
